Billed as '14 tales of dark imagination' the book is this but so much more. Each tale stands on its own, each one being different, dark & entertaining. This is one of those books that you'll read quickly & then a few months later you'll want to read it all over again just to remind yourself of how good the experience was. Enough of my talk, just go & get yourself a copy because you won't be disappointed. Right, I'm off to read it again :-)

Harking back to the old days of the Pan Book of Horror series (and others), Neil Davies' and Steve Upham's first published collaboration provides an ample range of satisfyingly disturbing tales, each of the right length to tantalise and unsettle. Eminently suitable for those who have neither the time nor the inclination to get enmeshed in huge epics. Excellent for escapism on the bus/train. An impressive first outing for Screaming Dreams
