After reading Naked Justice and Extreme Justice by William Bernhardt, one might expect this book to be a serious story. In fact, reading the first few chapters give the impression that the author is writing a serious story on spouse-abuse.

But as you move along, there is not only a twist in the story, but you begin to realise that Midnight Before Christmas was actually written in a rather light-hearted manner. Afterall, all his female fans might send him hate mail if it were written with a heavier tone.

Midnight Before Christmas is a great book to read. If only it could really happen.

After having read all of Bernhardt's Justice books, I knew this would not be a boring story. I was not disappointed. It's a fast read, and hard to stop after the first thirty or so pages. Part of it is predictable (in a good way), but the end twist, I must confess, I didn't see it coming. Nice story to gear up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have to recommend it.

Another tense, face-paced, exciting, suspenseful, delightful morsel with a wonderfully surprising ending!

Does this mean a new series with Bonnie and Carl?

William Bernhardt is definitely my favorite writer, and this was the perfect christmas gift!
