Book Description

After sixth grade, the very worst year of his life, Rafe Khatchadorian thinks he has it made in seventh grade. He's been accepted to art school in the big city and imagines a math-and-history-free fun zone. Wrong! It's more competitive than Rafe ever expected, and to score big in class, he needs to find a way to turn his boring life into the inspiration for a work of art. His method? Operation: Get a Life! Anything he's never done before, he's going to do it, from learning to play poker to going to a modern art museum. But when his newest mission uncovers secrets about the family Rafe's never known, he has to decide if he's ready to have his world turned upside down.

James Patterson's winning follow-up to Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is another riotous and heart-warming story about living large.

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is an amazing sequel for the first one. Good beginning, good plot, and good finish. Once you get into it, you really stay gripped. I think the next book, "I funny", will be as good as the first two. good book, I recommend age 8 to 12. It well deserved the five stars I gave it

4.0 out of 5 stars Get Me Out of Here 28 Dec. 2014
By Jenny, Wondrous Reads TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
Get Me Out of Here is the second book in the Middle School series and is just as good as the others I've read so far. Middle School is fast becoming one of my favourite children's series, and I haven't been disappointed with Rafe's story yet.

This instalment sees Rafe moving towns and schools, enrolling at a new art school and making his very first real friend. Nothing goes to plan, which isn't surprising considering it's Rafe, and soon he finds himself in trouble once again.

I like the way each of these books reveals more about Rafe and his family. His dad is a big part of this section of the story; Rafe finally finds out about his absence and just what went on when he left. It's more serious than I expected from a kid's book, which only adds to the authenticity of Rafe's tales.

Each of the Middle School books is fun to read, whether it's because of Rafe's wacky antics or some of the hilarious and sarcastic illustrations that accompany them. Younger readers will love this series just as much as I do, and now I'm excited to read the remaining two books. I hope Rafe doesn't change schools *again*, but I guess we'll see!
