Things I really like about this product: 1) it is big enough to fit a lot of stuff in the bag; 2) it stands up in the microwave; 3) it really does last for all 20 uses; 4) it has a place to mark off each time you use it; 5) I have had no problem with the seal--these are easy to seal for all 20 uses. I wish it had the cool grip area like the Munchkin bags--it is easy to burn yourself so you have to be careful. You do not need to use an oven mitt, though, although they say you should. Just grab the top, carefully.
We do not have a baby in the house. We use these to sterilize medical equipment--nebulizer cups, aero chambers, and other breathing equipment. I wish I had had this product when my kids were babies! But it is very useful now.
You always have to wash your items before trying to steam sterilize them.
You have to know what you are sterilizing. Some parts cannot handle being in the microwave, and some cannot handle the steam sterilizing. If you melt something, it is not because this product is faulty. It's a great product.
