5.0 out of 5 stars a welcome find, 11 April 2008
As a stock photographer myself, I've wanted to find more about microstock photography, but there is little information online and I had never seen a book on the subject before this one. Consequently I read Douglas Freer's book with excitement and enthusuasm. I was not disappointed. This book is a gem. It is written in an easy read but informative style and is lavishly but relevantly illustrated. It's a grandiose claim to say that you will find all the information you need to become a successful microstock photographer within its pages, yet I can honestly say that I don't see what else could have been added. The book covers everything from equipment and subject matter to the microstocks themselves and how to submit your images in a way that gives you the best chances of acceptance. Thank you Douglas for such a well written, fun and enlightening read.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Book, 21 April 2008

I am new to stock photography. This book has been an enormous help to me. It contains very useful practical guidance. It written in an informal and friendly style that is easy to follow and understand. I particularly liked Chapter 3, which outlines what pictures sell on microstock and why, and Chapter 5, which covers technical issues and how to avoid image rejections. I think its good value and I am already putting the lessons I have learned in to practice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book!!, 24 April 2008

I strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in selling their pictures. It contains loads of common sense tips and it's a fun read. It is written in a much less stuffy style than some photo books I have read before. The illustrations the author uses relate well to the text and really helped me to make sense of it all. I now feel much better equipped to sell my pictures through stock libraries. Top marks!
