Kool Keyboard 23 July 2009
By D Deacon TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
This is a handsome-looking wireless keyboard. This is V2.0 of this 3000 keyboard. It's black on top and white underneath. The keys have a nice positive responsive feel to them. There are keys for all manner of functions - email, home, open folder, redo, undo, etc... It has a full set of media keys too. It's spill resistant. Three-year warranty. It comes with a tiny USB dongle, two AA batteries for the keyboard and a CD with IntelliType software on it. As ever, shop around for the best price.

I have purchased this keyboard and also the Desktop set that includes a mouse. I am pleased with both. However you MUST protect the USB receiver that comes with which ever set you buy (keyboard / mouse or the desktop set).
If you physically break the USB receiver, you CANNOT get a replacement. The products are paired at manufacture and cannot be configured to work with another item. All the hardwear comes with a good warrenty, but if you break the receiver - thats it, the whole set is scrap! So do not lose the receiver and do not break it - put it somewhere safe! :)

Nearly 31 July 2009
This is so nearly the perfect wireless keyboard. It's only let down by the stupid F keys - they're not in groups of 4 so you can't find one by touch alone, and even worse they're not clearly labelled. They have icons on them for the shortcuts they perform, but the actual key names (F1, F2 etc) are written above the keys in a small font, in dark blue writing on a black background. Some genious at Microsoft thought that would work.

The good stuff though - lovely to type on, looks very cool, no reception problems, lots of extra useful keys, it just has that one flaw. Ok I should have looked at the picture more closely before buying. Luckily it's just a second keyboard for me and I have a wired Razor keyboard for gaming. I couldn't use the Microsoft one for gaming because of the F keys. You've been warned.

Layout isn't brilliant with the Function keys below a different top row - i'd have expected it the other way around. But it is light and portable so does the job very well. Read more

Great keyboard
Couldn't purchase a decent wireless keyboard and mouse as part of a set so bought individually. I find this an excellent keyboard and works well with my Microsoft 4000 mouse. Read more

Better than expected
No on or off buttons. It just works as soon as it's connected to the computer and installed, which Windows 7 does automatically. Read more

What can you say about a keyboard? Nice feel to keys, lots of programmable function keys if you want. Worked straight from the box.
