I've been using the beta for Word 2010 for a few months now and I must say I've really taken a liking to it.
The layout is smart, and has a nice feel to it, everything is organised and are in the right sections making it easy to select which tools you want to use.
I run this software on my PC with specs of; Windows 7, with 2GB RAM & a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Duel Core Processor 5000+ 2.61GHz, and it runs really smoothly and so far I have encountered not one crash or error yet!
I use this solely for personal use and it does the job I want it too.
If your looking for something just for documents, CV's and letters etc... then this is great, but if you are going to use other Microsoft Office products then I would suggest going for Microsoft Office 2010 as you save a lot of money that way, but personally I only use Word so this is good enough for me.

I was using Word 2002, and I kept finding that if I make alterations to a page close to the bottom, the top line of the next page disappeared. This was quite time consuming, but with 2010, the problem disappeared. Another problem with 2002 that I had was that if I used the delete button to delete a character and then tried typing, every time I typed, the next character disappeared. 2010 solved this problem as well.

Purchased this to replace an older version of word. Easy to install, and for a for a bit of a novice easy to use

Microsoft Word 2010 is great compared to other similar products; so easy and much quicker to use. Brilliant for both home and work use.

An obstructive program
Word 2010 looks ugly, has confusing tabs and a fruit salad of rubbish in each tag. I say this from the point of view of a writer. Read more
