I bought this mouse as a replacement for the old wired version that had finally decided to break. I had had that one for ten years without a problem and for that reason I decide to give this one a go. It is a relatively inexpensive wireless mouse (my first I might add) and it does what it is designed for. Being wireless it is a bit heavier that its wired counterpart, but its design is rather ingenious with the USB receiver sitting in the base of the mouse when it is not in use. This also switches off the power to the mouse (1 x AA battery) therefore conserving battery life. The only problem I have discovered with it is that in some surfaces its too sensitive and on others not sensitive enough. For me, it seems to work best when being used on the netbook itself!
If you are worried about battery life, then let me reassure you. I have had the mouse for about 6 months now and although its not used everyday or for long periods I do tend to forget to 'cradle' the receiver and I haven't yet had to change to the single AA battery (which it was supply with)!
