This Microsoft mousse is a great disappointment. I bought it to replace a similar, previous, version. The wheel has been replaced with a touch sensitive pad which is difficult to find without diverting eyes from the screen to look at the mouse. The left and right buttons are very heavy…they require an unusual amount of pressure to make them react.
It feels good in the hand and looks good on the desk, but it fails in the most important area…delivery.
I cannot recommend this mouse. Buy the previous version, it is much superior.

Having already owned the black version of this mouse which I use on my desktop I purchased the red version to use with my laptop when travelling. The nano receiver unit is small enough to leave plugged in to the laptop all the time so there is no hasle factor with setting up the mouse for use. I have always had a problem in the past with remembering to turn off my wireless mouse which has meant much poorer battery life, where flattening the Arc Touch mouse to turn it off is fabulously easy to do and easy to remember which means I get much more life from my batteries. It took a little bit of getting used to the hold of the mouse (as it does with most uniquely shaped mice) but now it is second nature. Finally I love the envy factor - almost everyone that sees the mouse wants one, just for the sheer elegance and practicality of design. If I didn't own two of them already I would buy another, just because they are so clever !
