I required two keyboards, one as a replacement at work and one for my home office.

I was looking for a basic business keyboard with no need for wireless, multimedia or gaming features. Both Microsoft and Logitech offer simple, basic keyboards that fit these requirements for a similar price, the Microsoft 200 and the Logitech K120 Keyboard - UK Layout.

I could not decide between them and in the end bought both. Both have turned out to be a little disappointing, perhaps to be expected for the cheap prices.

The Microsoft keyboard has a light and mushy feel, not very satisfying when touch typing. Although the keyboard is full sized the individual key surface area is surprisingly small compared with many to other keyboards.

The Logitech keys are larger and with a clearer print. The quality of the plastic also appears sightly better. However the feel when touch typing is still disappointing.

In summary both keyboards are a little too cheap and unsatisfying, the Logitech slightly pips the Microsoft overall.

I bought this as a replacement for a wireless keyboard (not from Amazon) which I only had for a few weeks before I got really fed up with it always needing batteries and not responding half the time. This is a good keyboard, nice and quiet and quick. Has additional features which I haven't explored, if you want to use them. It's comfortable to use. It's just what I needed and I love it.

I bought this keyboard for work as the one provided was well past its use by date. The MS200 is cheap but feels quite well made. The keys feel a little 'spongy'. The feet are single increment: which disappointed as I find a little extra elevation on the rear of the keyboard would have been welcome.
A standard keyboard that is OK at the current price.

Does the job. Key sound and feeling is not great, but as expected at this price point.

Some reviewers have complained that it is poor quality as it switches itself off ("randomly" as one post put it) after a certain time, but this is a Windows feature and can be disabled (see this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/590b6991-3bc2-4225-afb5-5509e4eb9088/microsoft-keyboard-turns-off-by-itself?forum=w8itprogeneral).

Got this for teenagers bedroom PC, and it is great for that. Will probably outlast the PC as usual for ms keyboard. Not quite as nice to use as say a ms navigator or comfort curve, the keys are a tad "clicky" rather than tactile as per the more expensive ranges, but certainly very usable. bought with basic ms-mouse which is also just as "average".

I bought this as a secondary keyboard and it works perfectly fine.

The "feel" from pushing the keys is slightly "gummy" but hey, is a 7£ keyboard!

This keyboard is aOK for home use but I can only second the other two star reviews. The keys have indeed a rather light and unresponsive mushy plastic feel to them so it's not really suitable for 'serious/business use. I dont agree it deserves two stars though - its ok for the price, so 5 outa' 5 from me. cheap and cheerful all the way!

Poor build quality compared to my old microsoft keyboard, some of the keys have a noisy squeek and feel unstable, particurly the bigger keys like shift and space bar which tilts. This relegated to replacing an old keyboard on a spare pc. On my main rig I still using my 4 year old microsoft keyboard.
