This product is intended for system builders and small OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) who manufacture computer systems and preinstall Microsoft OEM system builder software onto those systems. Its use is subject to the OEM System Builder License Agreement that is affixed to the side of all OEM system builder software packs. The system builder who installs the individual software license and distributes hardware units must provide end-user support on terms at least as favourable as the terms under which the system builder provides end-user support for any fully assembled computer system. The system builder must place its support phone number in a noticeable location in the fully assembled computer system help files or end-user documentation. Quick note as "How to check and purchase Windows XP Pro. with SP2"
Most sellers over here sell Counterfeit software from China. " Yes" you will be able to install it but when you try to register with Microsoft it will not pass the Microsoft Genuine Advantage, where you will see a message from Microsoft the product key is "NOT" valid.
How to check the Authenticity of the CD? = High Grade counterfeits will have a top layer which is pasted to the CD,
*The copper edge-to-edge hologram is a sticker adhered to the face of the disc rather than an embedded
image. You can feel the edge of the sticker.
*The Inner Mirror Band Hologram is a sticker adhered to the face of the disc rather than an embedded image.
*The stereogram is low quality (left); it should be a high resolution image (right).
The copper hologram has a low quality rough edge (left) rather than a smooth feathered edge (right).
Genuine Windows XP Pro OEM is over £130.00 RRP. Burt there are some Dell , HP windows XP Pro which is genuine and cheap (These are re-installations CD,s but come with a full valid product key you will be able to register and get full updates) But it's up to to question the seller, and be vary when trying to purchase Genuine software.
Best practice is to ask the seller whether the software is Genuine and does it pass the Microsoft WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) before you purchase. (If it doesn't you will not get some of the important security updates from Microsoft)
Common practise of some sellers will be to apologies and say they did,nt know .....but trust me they know and will try their best to apologies and beg you not to leave any Negative feedback.... and they will refund the payment straightaway.

I bought this product fully believeing that it was a genuine Microsoft product. It was NOT. It was Windows XP Professional but the Hewlett Packard version which has been customised by HP making it different - a fact that was not made clear on the web site. I know it is different because I have a genuine Microsoft version of the product. This is very misleading and the vedor should be made aware that this practice is not acceptable.

It arrives in suspiciously old, used wrapping, with booklet labelled: "For distribution with a new Dell PC only". Oh! On trying to download, am informed that product is nearing end of its permitted number of downloads. Oh! Told to get a new product key N°. Oh! Office is closed when I call. Oh! Disc doesn't download any more when I try the next time. Oh! PLEASE TAKE IT BACK! I don't want to have it hanging around any more!

Useless!
This product is useless! It is total waste of money! It does not pass the microsoft product verification test. I ended up paying Microsoft for an upgrade.
