Great Value,

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, N Version, Upgrade Family Pack Edition, 3 User Licence (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
I am surprised to see this product getting such terrible reviews. You get 3 licences at a fraction of the price that you would for buying them separately.
Media Centre works fine for me and I've got the TV working as well; and without any problems. Clean install? No Upgrade option? To be honest I can't remember. I always take the opportunity to do a clean install when putting on an operating system. If you don't, you will pull across all the crud that has been slowing down your old operating system. If you haven't got the installation disks for the programs that are on your computer then don't blame the operating system. Perhaps invest in a better storage system for your disks. We have 3 PCs in our household all now running on Windows 7 on a wireless network as happy as a pig.... Well you get the picture! This is a great bundle that will save you money. Enough said!

No Media Centre TV or Media Player in this version,

I thought this 3-license deal looked like good value, but this "N Version" of Windows 7 comes without Media Centre (the quite good PCTV system), and without Media Player.
Microsoft do offer these extra features as a free download extras for N Version customers (although this isn't obvious to find), but even then I've been unable to Media Centre working, despite weeks of fault finding. Save yourselve the hassle of this crippled N version, and buy the proper normal version instead. R.

Warning - requires 'clean install' from Vista,
This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, N Version, Upgrade Family Pack Edition, 3 User Licence (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
Upon opening the pack, I discovered that a 'clean install' was required even from Vista. This would require removing several programs for which I no longer had the operating disks; hence, losing them. The fact that a 'clean install' is required from XP is well documented, but yet well advertised for W7N Family Pac. Avoid unless you want a lot of hassle installing from Vista (not really upgrading).
