I purchased this programming tool a few months ago and before then, programming was like trying to work out 768.9 x Pi in my head. As I have gained the flavour of programming, I can now build Windows orientated programmes with confidence. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a rookie, compiling your completed programs could not be easier. With this high performance-programming tool, you can compile your programs in either P-code or native code. I was also impressed with the debugging tool. It gives you the most obvious clues on how to fix those little faults with your code. I have to admit that this piece of programming software well exceeded my expectations. The more you use this tool, the better you will become. This is because experimenting with this programming language is challenging and fun. Once you have created your first program, it will be very rewarding. I recommend that you take the plunge and be one of thousands of programmers to use probably the world's most powerful programming language, Visual Basic 6.0.

As a beginner programmer I wanted a professional tool that would enablr me to write high quality software for the Windows market. I looked at Borlands products but due to the languages they use (by the way they are very good) I decided on a tool that was easy to start to learn but would allow me to create more complex projects as I learnt more. Visual Basic Professional 6 arrived and I was amazed at the amount of support I received. The MSDN library is an excellent source of helpfiles and the Windows 2000 development rediness kit is certainly well timed. Since using this most excellent product I hae in a few short months started to create really stunning professional applications. What particulary appealed to me was the visual side of things which goes very well with being an artist. I have since bought some Visual Basic books from Amazon (Pure Visual Basic) to go beyond my ever increasing knowledge of this language. I must admit that I was hesitant a first of buying this product because of the cost but after considering this against the possible commercial applications and skills I would learn I decided to take the plunge. I'm glad I did. Visual Basic is not a 'toy' but a powerful language that can create many different applications from a simple game to a highly complex multi form relational database. I have considered looking at Visual C++ from Microsoft and some of Borlands products but have found nothing yet that Visual Basic professional cannot handle.
