Rallisport Challenge 2 picks up from where Microsoft's original rally driving sim left off: it's an improvement on its predecessor in every sense. RalliSport Challenge 2 gives gamers several new features, including a new graphics engine, online play through the Xbox Live service, the ability to set up leagues and tournaments using XSNsports.com, new race modes and more cars and tracks. XSN Sports games let you compete in the first truly virtual sports league for your Xbox. Now you can easily set up a rally league on XSNsports.com, take out your rival over Xbox Live, and track up-to-date stats on your PC throughout your own rally season. All XSN Sports games bring the power of the Xbox and PC together for the first time through XSNsports.com, so you are always plugged into the competition.
RalliSport Challenge 2 features six game modes including Career, Single Race, Time Attack, Multi-player and Instant Action. It also features five unique rally race modes including Rally, Rally Cross, Ice Racing, Hill Climb and the new Crossover duel. This will test your driving skills over more than 90 tracks, from Sweden, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Argentina, Monte Carlo, and really test their skills by racing up the sides of the Grand Canyon in the ultimate Hill Climb race.
Among the new cars featured in "RalliSport Challenge 2" are the Hyundai Accent WRC, Renault Megane Maxi, Volvo 440T, Lancia Stratos, Ford GT70 and the Suzuki Aerio P950 and gamers will be able to make minor modifications to each car to meet the challenge of each track. Players can modify their tires, dampers, break balance, steering and gear ratio to match the race conditions of the track.

Rallisport 2 is brilliant. I consider myself quite experienced with the racing genre, having played them since lotus challenge on the amiga to the gran turismos and the toca race drivers of today. I don't normally comment on games I've bought however rallisport 2 deserves a mention.
FACT - the most important aspect I feel required in a racing game is the sense of speed you get when on the wheel. Rallisport 2 delivers this without a shadow of a doubt especially when you play in the no-car-model camera view.
The cars handle nicely with a good learning curve and there are tons of tracks to keep you busy for years on end.
This is a must purchase for driving fans.

This game is way better than Colin McRae 2005 for one big reason - The thrill of driving at speed is HUGE!!
Because the graphics are superb. They roll without flicker and at such speed and detail that this is one of those rare games where you truly forget where you are - you are utterly immersed in a rally driving experience.
True the graphics in between stages aren't as flashy as Colin Mcrae, and there's no poncing around to be done repairing your car at service areas - but SO WHAT. Are you here for the racing or what?? And yes the replays are a waste of space too but SO WHAT, man. Get in the car and tear it up!
The light effects through trees and over brows and in dusk are incredibly realistic. When the surface changes (even leaves) you real do feel the car handling differently. It doesn't need a stupid rumble in the joypad to tell you this.
Add to this so much more variety than McR with rallycross stages where you race against other vehicles, time trials and hill climbs where you have to make do without the co-driver you've come to love, and so many different vehicles and unlocks for specific races, this one has comeback appeal too.
It's just class.

I simply had to write a review of this game as it is quite simply perfect. As im sure your aware this game came out some time ago and it's graphics still put pretty much every racing game to shame. I dont know about you but one thing which really bugs me with most racing games is while the graphics on the car's body are fantastic the wheels are pretty much every time 2D looking whereas in rsc2 there so 3D it adds immensely to the feel of the game, this may sound odd but it has to be seen to be believed. On a slightly more sane note the amount of tracks is superb and for a change the makers have injected some much needed glamour into this racing game with fantastic locations like monte-carlo, the most classic of all rally events ignored by almost every racing game to date.....untill now......buy this game!
