5.0 out of 5 stars Good clear book 10 Oct. 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Very good and clear throughout. You don't realise how many things that the program can do until you go through this book. Presented in a good easy to read style.

1.0 out of 5 stars Annoying 26 Dec. 2013
By Marten K - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Microsoft Project is an application designed to assist with the documentation and management of projects. This manual does not focus on the use of the application and instead meanders around the topic of project management itself.

If you are oblivious to fact that projects have aspects such milestones, resource allocations and end dates and would like to be drawn into an extensive conversation around such topics, then this book may be fine.

But if you understand and have established projects before, and just want an effective book to assist with Microsoft Project 2013 itself then this is not for you. It will waste your time.

addendum: Instead I also bought Microsoft Project 2013 Plain & Simple - Plain and Simple Microsoft Project? yes; colorful? yes; easy to follow? yes; a manual? no; tells you how to suck eggs? no.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have reference book for MS Project 2013 desktop. 27 Aug. 2013
By Ellen Lehnert, MVP - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Bonnie takes a real world approach to project management and applying those principles to MS Project. MS Project works more productively for the user if they have a process and a goal for developing schedules. Her methodology of project process first and then apply the process with example for using the software is spot on. For many years I have used MS Project 2010 Missing Manual as the text I distribute in my classes and I look forward to using MS Project 2013 as I continue to teach MS Project.

5.0 out of 5 stars Project Managers Best Reference book for using MS Project 2013 28 Jun. 2013
By Michael Wharton - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I recommend this book for any project manager who depends on using Microsoft project for scheduling. This was the first book publish on Project 2013 and it captures all the new features with using project 2013. The author also does a good job covering all the existing features of project. This book is more than a step by step procedure for using project; she also explains the "why" for so many features. This book should be in all project managers library.

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is a total disappointment for new users of MS Project 2013! 31 May 2014
By Desmond Ong - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have bought and read this book for 3 months...however I am still stuck at here and there as this book does not deal directly of how to use the program. Instead, it refers you to page here and there and the illustrated diagrams are so small that you can't see them clearly. At last, I got to pay an internet course which costs cheaper than this book to learn how to use the program.

This book is a big NO to people who wants to learn and use the MS Project 2013 fast. You will be wasting your time and money to buy this book.

No star is given for this book. A huge disappointment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely BEST Series of Books Out There 1 Mar. 2014
By Jason Saetrum - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I teach certification courses and consider myself a power user. I always look for a print or online copy of "the missing manual" books. The publishers are discerning on who they let write for them. The authors provide poignant insight, step-by-step guidance, real-world tips-and-tricks, and etc. Since my first MM book 6 years ago, I've never been disappointed. Reminder: Once you purchase the book, go get your "missing cd" files to accompany the examples.
