About the Author

Bonnie Biafore is an award-wining author of more than a dozen books, including Missing Manuals on Quicken 2009, QuickBooks 2009, and Project 2007, as well as The Better Investing Stock Selection Handbook, Online Investing Hacks, and On Time! On Track! On Target!. She also writes regularly about financial topics for Better Investing bankrate.com and interest.com. As an engineer, she's fascinated by how things work and how to make things work better, and has a knack for mincing dry subjects like accounting and project management into easy-to-understand morsels and spicing them up with her warped sense of humor.

A very useful guide 15 Dec 2010
By Graham
Format:Paperback
For several years I have used Microsoft Project 2003, 2007, and more recently 2010. This guide is comprehensive, easy to read, and well structured. Recommended.

delivery was terribly delayed. satisfied with the book though I think it could have been less volumnous.
Author could cut out a lot of stuff to make it more concise.
Nevertheless, a very good for those new to project management and ms project. In that respect, recommended.

Learn Microsoft Project TO-DAY!!! 22 July 2010
By Daniel McKinnon - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Another gem in the Missing Manual line of books. This book makes learning Microsoft Project 2010 easy breezy and fun to boot! Spanned over 700+ pages and 27 chapters of smoooooth writing and easy to follow examples, the author does a grandiose job of turning newbie users into experienced ones in no time at all. From the basics of Project to setting up schedules to assigning tasks to making changes to tracking progress to getting your schedule on the web, this is an all in one solution.

If you need to learn Microsoft Project, look no further. The Missing Manual line is known for its high quality products, and this one fits the bill. My only caveat is that I wish there was some color in the book to spice things up, but it's not essential.

Buy It.

Now.

Great content, poor printing quality 3 Jan 2012
By Colin O'Flynn - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Content is great - contains much more than just how to use Project 2010, but how to manage projects in general. This also includes example spreadsheets, templates, etc.

Was very let down by quality of printing though. Book is Printed On Demand (POD), and is very easily recognizable as that. Blacks vary between pages, resolution not high enough for font used with fine strokes becoming messy. Already had the e-book and decided I wanted the real thing, but honestly in this instance I would have been happy sticking with the e-book.

This is a very comprehensive text with a good index that permits quick referencing of topics of interest, including Earned Value Project Management.
