3.0 out of 5 stars Good Keyboard, poor Mouse 30 Aug 2012
By Mike G
Wishing to get rid of all the wired clutter I plunged for this combination. The keyboard is very good; the keys are very positive in action which suits a hamfisted four fingered tyro like me. Once you have downloaded the software from Microsoft then all the function keys take on short cut commands. However I must say that, in practice, I find these somewhat irrelevant having been inculcated into 'point and click' and 'Ctrl +'. It's not totally obvious that you can still use the shortcut keys as traditional F keys by using the F lock positioned just above the back space key. This would be much better highlighted by putting the wording in a more obvious colour rather than a (not easy to read) blue. However I suppose someone can accuse me of being a traditional male in not reading the instructions first! The Mouse is a different kettle of fish, it is somewhat awkward to hold and, whilst it is supposed to be an enhancement to use bluetooth I find that once and a while the mouse develops a life of its own and the 'pointer' on the screen moves erratically and jumps around. This seems to mainly occur when I am on the 'net. Glad I didn't pay the Amazon price as I did source this cheaper - and wish I hadn't bothered in the first place and gone for a Logitech as my son advised.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but a problem 12 Jun 2012

I got this product not long ago. It came well wrapped, no dents; nothing.
The batteries where included(not rechargeable). The keyboard has a nice feel to it, an ergonomic and sleek design.
The keyboard is good if you are someone new with computers; it has indications for short cuts on the edge of the concerned keys. It has Four buttons at the top of the keyboard designated to Outlook, your default browser, your instant messenger and your default media player. after that it has five customisable short cut buttons and all your media keys followed by your volume buttons. Where your F buttons are you have a series of buttons designed to help you navigate faster, it also has a button for the calculator. At the left edge of the Keyboard you have zoom buttons and your libraries keys (pictures & documents). On the mouse the are two buttons on either side to navigate backwards or forwards on you browser.

Personal thoughts:
--> soft keys
--> comfortable keyboard
--> Short distance wireless transmission
--> Blue-Track is a bit sticky (bugs a bit)

Overall a very good product appart from the few problems

3.0 out of 5 stars Personaly didn't like it 13 Dec 2012

I didn't really like the feeling of the keyboard (far too soft to my taste anyway), and the mouse feels very cheap compared so the one delivered in the Desktop 2000 set.
It's a shame the keyboard doesn't have LED indicator for CapsLock or NumLock, although there's an on screen display if you install Microsoft IntelliType software.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Keyboard but mouse not so great ! 25 Aug 2012
The keyboard is great. Smooth and very comfy for touch typing. Everything is wonderfully displayed and huge amount of multimedia keys. I loved it at first sight. It would have been nice to place at least the LED for Caps Lock but its not such a problem.

The Mouse ? Aesthetically nice until you touch it. I have been using computers since I was born and when it comes to the mouse i want it comfy. Something that your five fingers can hug and feel the contours of it. But this one is a nightmare. 2 minutes after i plugged in the batteries and touched the mouse I was replacing it back in the box. Its uncomfortable and gives me a nervous breakdown. Its like there is no place for the 4th finger and you end up unconciously placing it and replacing it on the mouse knowing that there is not right place for this finger to stay. Probably going for a logitech wireless but I must admit I will really miss the keyboard.

One good thing is the led on the keyboard and mouse that show battery life. I think its great.
