Product Description

The World's First and Only Truly Wireless Xbox 360 Headset. Immersive 7.1 Surround Sound Powered by Dolby Headphone Technology. Hot-swappable, Rechargeable Batteries for Never-ending Gaming Sessions. TRITTON's Warhead 7.1 Wireless Surround Headset is a truly wireless solution - - no need to connect a chat cable to your Xbox 360 gaming controller! A robust 5.8GHz wireless signal ensures interference-free operation from other 2.4GHz wireless devices and provides crystal-clear audio at a range of 33 feet. Hear immersive 7.1 Dolby Headphone surround sound through a pair of precision-tuned 50mm speakers featuring Neodymium magnets. With two rechargeable battery packs for 24/7 gaming, one battery always charging on the base station means you can simply swap in a fresh pack whenever the headset needs more energy. IMMERSIVE 7.1 SURROUND SOUND POWERED BY DOLBY HEADPHONE TECHNOLOGY Dolby Headphone provides 7.1-channel surround sound to enhance directional awareness and create a detailed, spacious audio landscape which sounds as if it's beyond the limits of the headset. Hearing each and every disturbance within a game's environment gives you the competitive advantage by allowing you to locate hostiles long before they sense your presence. TRUE WIERLESS XBOX 360 VOICE CHAT Gone are the days of tethering a controller to your head. The lack of a chat cable or adapter provides an all-new level of gaming freedom previously unheard of on the Xbox 360 console. PREMIUM 5.8GHz WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY The Warhead 7.1's proprietary 5.8GHz wireless technology offers far superior audio clarity when compared to the industry standard 2.4GHz. Many wireless products on the market today are on the 2.4GHz band and if your headset operates within this frequency, it's prone to interference from cordless phones, Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi routers, and even your microwave oven. The Warhead 7.1's 5.8GHz wireless range sidesteps potential interference by utilizing a less crowded frequency.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I've based this review on my personal experiences of headsets at the high end over the last week of using them all.. These are just my views on how I feel and what I like/dislike.

I've currently got the Turtlebeach XP400, Turtlebeach XP500, Astro A50 and now the Tritton Warhead so my review is based on using all these top end headsets.

PROS:

Extremely simple to use, purchased rights with Microsoft so the tower unit connects directly to the Xbox. Took about 3 mins to set up from opening box.

Completely wireless, no puck, or cables running to controller.

2 x rechargeable batteries, one is charged in the base unit, other stays in headset until change needed then you swap them around. Because they partnered/have rights with Microsoft you can press the middle button on controller and it gives you 2 battery status one for controller other for headset so you always know where you're at with it. I've not tested the battery performance against the others cause it's not an issue given you get 2 batteries.

Perfect sound quality, extremely crisp and clean at all times handling everything in all the games I play (FPS and racing games mostly).

Easy to use controls on the headset much more simple than the others listed above.

I've read in the manual you can connect up to 4 headsets to one tower am not sure what use this is cause I can't find any were to buy just headsets but none the less still pretty cool I think.

If you watch a lot of movies or listen to music via your Xbox this headset will be amazing but I don't make the most of that part.

These headsets use a high frequency to transmit wirelessly think it's around 5.

5.0 out of 5 stars Purely amazing 2 Jan 2013
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
When it comes to gaming headsets, the Tritton Warhead's can't be faulted.. Not only was it a quick delivery from amazon, once they came as non relatable as it is the packaging itself is cool enough, before buying these I went for the turtle beach xp500 which caused many a problems from RF interference and Bluetooth issues, where as the tritton's have none of these issues, amazing solid sound, no more need for batteries, completely wireless quick and easy to set up. These are also one of the comfiest headphones I've tried, in my first session on BF3 the weight felt a bit much in the first hour but soon enough got used to the weight change and now game for hours at a time with no complaints. If you have the money and are willing to spend, these are the best headphones to pair with our Xbox, they even look perfect next to it.

i love my warheads, friends on xbox live said how good they were and i was sick of pulling the wires out of my controller when using my turtle beach x21s so even though these are arond the £200 mark i took the plunge. very glad i did. easy to set up, and no wires!nice crisp sound and two batteries supplied so one is always fully charged. the wife says they look ok too so im allowed to keep them on the tv stand. ( lucky me!) no complaints at all

5.0 out of 5 stars Having used a few headsets. I recommed these 3 Jan 2013

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I have been using headsets to play FPS games on Xbox for a few years.

I have moved to these from a of wired Sharkoon Xtatic Dolby 'true' 5.1 surround sound headset, after getting sick of the wires breaking & headset playing up.

I was a little wary of these after purchasing as they are advertised as 7.1 surround. However, they are not TRUE 7.1 surround headsets. They are simulated 7.1 which means each cup has only one speaker and the 7.1 surrpound element is simulated electronically rather than multiple speakers to simulate the surround sound, such as my true 5.1's had.

However that said, the surround sound does work very well (they did surprise me), and the 3 preset EQ's work nicely without having to set each front/rear/center etc speaker up. The sound quality is superb for gaming. A lot better than my previous headset.

The wireless is great. they feel good to wear - They are not too heavy. They squeeze your head a bit to begin with, but that eases after a few days.

The dual batterys are a brilliant idea. Once charged the rotation of the batterys is easy, and once the one your using goes flat, the other one is charged, so your never without a full battery.

One thing I find is that sometimes if I take them off mid game for a break, I catch the EQ button which switches the sound off on the headset. Not a major issue, but confused me a little the first few times. A sipmle press of the button to switch back on is all it takes.

In game voice chat is clear, and the SVM works nicely, however I still tend to end up talking loudly/shouting sometimes.

All in all a great headset.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for wireless but overrated.
The most overrated headset ever made. Simply put if you want a wireless headset for 360 then they're fine and do the job. That they're fully wireless is the selling point here. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Headset is badly made.
The features in the headset were good, however it was incredibly uncomfortable, cut out at times and crackled constantly. This happened twice with me. DO NOT BUY THIS!
