This keyboard is cheap. And it is nasty. Far too cheap and far too nasty. They've added little function keys all over the place to open all the folders MicroSoft think you ought to have. My music, My Documents, etc. But the keys everyone expect are either missing or combined with other keys and require you to access them with a special "function lock" key.
The function keys are in groups of three instead of groups of four and this makes using them horrible. You get an instinct as to where these keys are but when you try to use that on this keyboard or you wind up hitting the wrong one. Espicially frustrating in games that depend on the function keys. You'll find yourself getting killed over and over because the key you thought changed your weapon puts you in chat mode or something similar.
And then we get to the typing action. Not since the Spectrum 48K+ have I encountered a keyboard that felt this bad to type on.
The only good thing I have to say about this keyboard is that it made a good remote control for WinAmp. Avoid this thing like the plague.

The Multimedia keyboard from Microsoft could be better... for a start I was disappointed with the design of it. The multimedia and other buttons above the Function keys look cheap and feel slightly flimsy - but they all come in useful. I use my PC as a music jukebox and the volume, play, stop, next and previous track buttons work great... much better than using key combinations in Windows Media Player!
The feel of the keys takes a little getting used to, but it's a nice keyboard to work with for sure. I wish I'd bought the Wireless Optical desktop instead though - which features a wireless version of this keyboard with a mouse too.

This is a cheap keyboard packed with features such as extra hotkeys. Very comfortable to type on as i did all my a-level coursework on it with no problems at all. The keys have a great feel to them and this is the coolest looking keyboard i have ever seen. Well worth considering!
