2.0 out of 5 stars kindle edition 15 Dec 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a reference book. I don't normally read a reference book cover to cover but this Kindle edition is not bookmarked, hence you cannot jump to the required or any reference, you have to look at each page and then bookmark any that are of interest. It may or may not be the best reference book on the subject but this format is not suitable for this type of book. To be positive, the chapters I have read are well presented and the screen shots are informative. I have now passed through 50 % of the book and still not arrived at the bit I am interested in and I do not know how many pages there are!

The book gives a good insight into the administration of Dynamics CRM, the only major drawback is the absence of an accompanying CD, the screenshots are not very visible and defeats the purpose of including the diagrams in the text, if an accompanying CD of either the text and screenshots were available, the book would be an easy read. On occasions, I had to refer to Youtube for graphic representation of screens.

In general, the book gives good insight into the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.

3.0 out of 5 stars Better information on Dynamics 6 Jan 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Purchased this book as the previous book I purchased didn't provide as much technical information, although this did cover most of the aspects we needed it but we then decided Microsoft Dynamics was most likely not the best product for what we needed and therefore decided to go for an Open Source product called vTiger and therefore returned this book. Though this is primarily considered a reference book I never managed to find any best practice installation information or sample set-up examples, as it has lots of pages it could simply be that I haven't read through it in enough detail or possibly missed this information I needed.

By G. Wood
Would class this one as a "must have" for consultants in the CRM 2011 space.
It has over 700 pages of excellent info - from basics to advanced on how to set up and use MS Dynamics CRM 2011

Its content is well structured and style is easy to read - my copy now has lots of tabs sticking out of it as its referred to and in use daily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book 27 Nov 2012
By Heather - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bought 3 Books for Microsoft CRM 2011 and this is by far the best one for the administration purposes. It has everything you need to know, and you will need no other book however, I do recommend also getting the CRM unleashed book as it goes into little more details with the email routing and outlook for CRM.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book - very thorough - must have for all CRM clients 28 Mar 2011
By JGravely - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
We purchased this book to help train a new employee on Microsoft CRM 2011. It is excellent. We are using it as a reference and every section we have gone to has been very detailed. There is a lot of content in it and the authors seemed to do a very thorough job linking sections to each other so you can see how things interact. CRM 2011 has added a lot of functionality so this book is a must have reference for any company using Microsoft CRM.
