This book is brilliant - at last a way of getting to grips with what Word can do, without plodding through unneccessary text. This book has a superb index, the tasks you want to complete are clearly written and illustrated in colour with numbered step by step instructions. This wonderful book should be supplied along with the software. Very user friendly, 5 stars are too few to rate this item.

Great for Novice 18 Nov. 2004
By Dena Morris - Published on
Format: Paperback
I just took a job where I need to know Word and Excel backward and forwards. I thought I knew Word before but quickly found out it could do a lot more than I'd ever dreamed and I needed a good reference. I choose these books (I puchased the companion Excel 2002 book also) for both the color diagrams, examples and clear, non-confusing way it is written. Even if you thought you knew Word 2002 it is worth the price of admission to see all the fabulous features you can utilize to make your document a work of art.

Plain & Simple Rocks 24 Jan. 2011

The "Plain & Simple" book series is simply the best set of books ever written on Microsoft Office product use. Straight-forward, no-nonsense aproach that's easy to read and use as a reference. None better.
