I am in the process of implementing an MI website based on MS SQL Server, and Reporting Services (RS) seemed the logical choice for the front-end. Of the books I've read so far on RS this has been the most useful.
There's substantial sections on developing and deploying reports, but also extensive coverage of security, architecture and options for extending RS with custom code (including custom authentication). Along with the downloadable examples its an excellent introduction in the practicalities of using RS to fulfil businesses reporting needs - be it through intranet, extranet or internet implementations. It even includes a chapter on Analysis Services\OLAP - and although its a little light on how to integrate AS and RS - it does point you to the Microsoft resources for this.
Perhaps not the perfect book - as it does lean on the MS documentation a times - and expects a working knowledge of some aspects in advance. However I'd recommend it to anyone wishing to use RS for more than just a few reports on the company intranet.
