It is over twelve years since Canadian cook Penny Gray discovered the perfect tool for zesting citrus fruit - among her husband's wood working tools
Microplane made it's epic journey from the workshop to the kitchen
The small, chemically etched blades are as effective with garlic, chocolate, cheese, nutmeg and apple as with the zest of lemon that fell from the plane Penny used back in 1994
Sharp but too fine for most things. Then it fell to bits as the weld between the plane and the metal frame failed.
I can't believe how good these graters are, they help to make cooking a doddle. I've been faffing around with a rubbish grater for years. This grater is something else.Published 12 months ago by Stu
This grater is brilliant with no plastic casing to disintegrate as my last one did. It was however sent in a 50x30x11cm box!!!Published 12 months ago by fairycake
Really sharp grater. Top quality. Recommended, watch your fingers though.
The blade guard is a must to keep the grater in top condition when stored.
Excellent piece of kitchen I would never be without it. It does all it says it does and more besides!Published 22 months ago by D. J. Healey
This product is great, but not for grating cheese, its too fine and you can't get the full flavor of the grated cheese.Published on 18 Mar. 2013 by Julie Andrews
Exactly what I was looking for. The one I chose is suitable for fine grating, parmesan and the like. Great kitchen accessory, very pleased with it.Published on 15 Mar. 2013 by Jill M. Thornton
