This is a product that serves it's purpose in two ways, one as a microphone and the other as a speaker, and as a mic used with an app to record voice messages it reaches all the standards required, but as a speaker it is only marginally louder than the inbuilt mic of the ipod touch.
But when you take into consideration the low cost of the item and the free postage then this product becomes a very good purchase.
On the down side, it is a very large mic/speaker and with a little lack in concentration it could easily be knocked and possibly broken, or even cause damage to the ipod, so care is the watch word when purchasing this unit.

I bought this as the cheapest way to use the voice memo app on the iPod touch. What a pity Apple didn't fit a microphone. The speaker is a bonus and enables you to listen to the memo's if the iPod is in a protective case. The Mic is quite sensitive so you don't have to shout.

I purchased this mini microphone to enable me to record on my I POD 160 classic. I take singing lessons and it is useful to play them back. The quality of the recordings is excellent and it is capable of recording from considerable distances to the source. Ir is easy to use and also works well as a speaker for my I POD.

Does its job well, but I would like a different exetrnal shape so that it deos not protrude so much or get knocked so easily.

Needs extreme care, easily broken

Does what it states, plug it in and it works no problems. Its a better mic than it is a speaker.
