I am in my second year of an electronics degree and own this book. i am currently studying my first semester in micro and found that this book was vague in detail. Help on certain topics are nowhere to be found in this book especially that on transistor sizing and stick diagrams. I think the book assumes that you already know your stuff on the basics so it definately isn't for the student just starting to grasp micro. There are many other books out there that i would turn to before this one. I am glad that this book was given to me and that i didn't actually purchase it myself. You should certainly loan this first if you are thinking of buying it.

This is totally unsuitable for the beginner. Most parts of the book is too brief in explaining the proper concepts to the beginner. This book is only suitable to somebody who has some knowledge in analogue circuits (although if they had previous knowledge there are better books out in the market that do a better job at explaining).
