I have been a fan of Standard Deviant's tapes and DVD's, but although the content and the comic presentation of "Microeconomics" was user-friendly, the format was anything but.
Unlike those other Standard Deviant's DVD's, this one is difficult to watch in segments or to review. Without a menu and chapters: if one can't watch and absorb the whole DVD in one sitting, you are forced to start again and fast forward, hoping to spot where you left off last time. It seems that they just took the original VHS tape and transferred it, without bothering to index it, etc. If it were a VHS tape, at least one could leave it wound to the point where you stopped watching.
In addition to a menu and chapters, other SD DVD's offer summary review chapters, and simple tests to gauge your mastery before proceeding to the next chapter.
I had hoped to move on to Macroeconomics by the same company. Unless the price is lowered to $4-$5 to compensate for the inconvenience and lack of features, I'll have to educate myself elsewhere.
