A great introduction to the world of Scalextric, this set features a battery pack (4 x D batteries required, not included), avoiding the need for a domestic mains power supply and trailing wires. The hand throttles are fitted with special tamper-proof skill level dials that can be set by an adult to suit the ability of the young player. This set is specially designed for ease of use: each lane, car, and hand throttle is colour-coded to help the younger racer. The track is easy to assemble. The racing set offers a simple figure-of-eight circuit to race on with a fly-over bridge. The two super-resistant 1:64 scale cars come in vibrant red and yellow. The compact circuit is 2.56 metres of curves and straights.
Designed with children as young as 3 years old in mind, these cars are super resistant to withstand rougher use. They're also painted to match the lanes they follow and the hand throttles that control them, making racing as simple as possible.
Like the Micro Scalextric range, My First Scalextric was designed with the youngest racers in mind. The super resistant vehicles are built to withstand the odd tumble. The track in this set is more compact than in other Scalextric ranges and is easier to connect and disconnect, making for easier assembly and packing away. My First Scalextric is an ideal introduction for children as young as 3 years old to Scalextric, offering the thrill of the original range while amply accommodating the abilities of those taking their first steps into the world of slot car racing.
If you find that one of your Scalextric vehicles is not steering correctly, it may mean that the braid plate is loose (this can be caused when vehicles are crashed together). In order to refit or replace the easy-fit braid plate on one your Scalextric vehicle, please follow the steps below to get your car up and running again:
1. Ensure the tail of the braids are facing towards the rear of the vehicle, not the front.
2. Place the braid plate onto the rear of the blade.
3. Pull the braid plate over the front of the blade.
4. Sliding the plate onto the blade, ensure you push the plate until it clicks into position.
