Bought this for our son's 9th birthday. We've seen how much he enjoys playing with the full sized Scalextric but we liked the fact that this was smaller - hoped he would set it up and play with it more as it takes up less space.
Didn't realise that it the cars go round the track so quickly - each lap is only a couple of seconds. It's also much easier to drive than the full sized version - the barriers aren't really needed - you have to go absolutely flat out to spin the cars off the track.
Not what we were expecting but we're sure that when it is brought out, it will be played with enthusiastically for years to come.

its gr8 that hornby have made this smaller version with more than one track to be made. The car are not as good as fall scale version but for a beginner to scalextric thay do the job. Alround me and my son give it a 10/10

Great fun and as stated previously excellent for young children as hard to crash the cars (though they enjoy it when they do!!). Tailfins (is that the right word?) have come off both cars and superglue has not made much difference. Also need more track as you don't get much.
