It looks very nice on the box i must admit. The problem is in reality its just not playable. The main problem is the bridge that the cars go under. You are supplied with 4 stands plus 11 extensions to support the bridge. On the box it seems these supports are solid but due to the fact that the cars have antennas on them it means at least 2 of the supports need 5 extension pieces each making enough room for the cars to go under them. this leaves you 1 extension to support the raised track. But its to small to fit so its has to be supported say against a wall or a book placed underneath it.I found it very misleading and plan to return it

too fragile for children,

The main issues here are that children cant control the cars well enough (you need to half pull the trigger which our 5 and 6 year old couldnt master, so the cars are forever flying off the curved track. Literally within 2 minutes of them playing with it on the 6 year olds birthday, the buzz character snapped off his car, and the metal wool-type conductors on the bottom of both cars were bent meaning neither would go back ojn the track, rendering it useless.
It is really not suitable for children below 8 years old in my opinion, by which time they would probably prefer a normal scalextric set. If your kids are below 8 i would strongly recommend not purchasing this. Have to say, Amazon's returns policy is outsanding customer service however. They call you, email you, and send you a link to arrange free DHL of the goods back to Amazon. Outstanding.

My 5yr old loves it,but i have to agree with other reviews that the build quality and design is not what i expected from Scalextric/Hornby.
I found that if you design the track so that the straight goes under instead of over this gives more support with the limitted supports supplied. Woody and Buzz soon broke off the cars, and the cardboard stands/signs are cheap and useless.Yes the cars do fligh off when going too fast on the corners but that is where the skill is learnt. As with most toys nowadays they are not built to last and this is no exception, but my 5yr son soon mastered it and we are having hours of fun with it.
