My husband and I thought this might be a bit naff but might keep our little boy (4 years old) happy. We were so wrong. This toy is just fantastic. Both boys are hooked. The cars are lightening fast and stay on the track very well. You can make 5 tracks but if you buy a few spare pieces the combinations are endless. The only gripe is that the track sometimes loses its electrical contact. My husband (engineer) fixes it in a flash and it only happens when he makes a new track. Best value toy we have bought for a very long time.

Bought this for my 5 year old and he loves it. The cars stay on very easily so you can get the cars going really fast, and theres no skill needed to keep the car on the track. This is good for my 5 year old but boring for my 8 year old, who loves his proper scalextric. Its a good set because you can make different tracks and its nice and small so doesn't take over the living room like the proper scalextric.

not an educational toy,just cool looking cars flying around a track,control your speed on the corners and watch out for the chicane you could be the loser going into this too quickly,build your tracks and buy extras and add ons to rival any circuit in the world!

Mine was faulty-not reliable
