Not very detailed for my purposes, and printed on flimsy paper 23 Jan. 2013
By M. Krongelb - Published on Amazon.com
This map has a low level of detail, because it is trying to cover a wide range of territory and keep to a reasonable size. It would be good if you are planning a trip through the Balkans and will be sticking to major sites and major roads. If you are planning a more detailed trip through one or two countries, and want to see smaller places and be able to use smaller roads, you would be better off with a map that focuses on the countries you will be visiting.

Also, it is printed on very light weight paper. I felt as though it would rip badly the first time I tried to use it on a windy day, and might not stand up to repeated folding, especially when you try to refold it in the "wrong" direction, to make the section for that day's drive easily available. In the end, I did not buy this map.

Great Michelin map covering the former Yugoslavia 24 Oct. 2012

If you are traveling in the Balkans, this is a must-have map with clearly defined and up-to-date roads. This is the 2012 version.

A bit busy 4 April 2013

Everything you need is here but it's a bit hard to find. A bit more variance in color or perhaps a stronger font would make it easier to read. It's hard to find what you want at a glance as nothing really stands out.
that being said it is a good planning map but i wouldn't want to drive with it

A great map from a hidden corner of the world 31 Dec. 2013

I bought this map before my last trip to Serbia and Balkins. I've had other maps of the area, but not reading cyrillic made them difficult for me to interpret. This one's multi-lingual and though not as detailed as I would like, the size and the detail that it does have is more than adequate for a person like me who still navigates with paper and dead reckoning.

Though I do have several map apps on my devices, paper is the best way for me to travel since I can write notes on the paper and see the big picture without the confines of a smallish keyhole of an iPhone or iPad.

Best of all, no cell signal is needed, no roaming charges, no tech to find your way around!
