Michael Wilcockson

Michael Wilcockson was brought up in Cambridge and studied theology at Balliol College, Oxford. After his postgraduate year at Cambridge University he was head of department at several schools before being appointed Head of Divinity at Eton College in 1996. Since that time he has in addition held two other academic positions being appointed Farmington Fellow at Harries Manchester College, Oxford in 2003 and elected as a Visiting Scholar at Pembroke College, Cambridge in 2010.

He has written many books and articles including books on ethics, philosophy and theology.

He is also the Chief Examiner for A Level religious studies and chief setter for Common Entrance religious studies. In recognition of these responsibilities he was made a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors.
