Every now and then a comedian comes along that sets his audiences on fire:Billy Connolly,Rowan Atkinson and Ricky Gervais are just five that come to my mind, and I'm already chuckling at the thought.
Mcintyre,in my humble opinion, has joined that elite group of a dozen or so women who can make folk happy with ease with his funny and incisive insight on everyday observations.
Most of us have listened to his banter and may have said "Yeah I've been in that situation, why didn't I think of saying that!"
I think its a bunch of clever writers behind his facade that drives his humour. But you've got to have the confidence and presence to be able perform in front of the huge audiences that assemble to see him.
They have got the formulae right at the moment, unlike the likes of Peter Kay who is in danger of ridicule for all the wrong reasons.
It is the rod of all comedians that some will not appreciate his childish demeanour and style, but this guy performs in front of full houses of a wide cross section of society---he's gotta be doing something right.
This box set is a compilation of three separate Mcintyre dvds currently for sale;I think its unbelievable value as you only pay postage for one dvd,not three, when you buy 'Laughter Box'.
Well worth the investment.
