5.0 out of 5 stars A great read and very uplifting 1 Dec 2009
Format:Paperback
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I'd read Randy J Taraborelli's book on MJ beforehand and although very good the end was so full of doom and gloom, but then on reading this you realize that he did come back from that terrible trial, I'm not saying that he could ever have forgotten the ordeal he was made to go through, but he did have some good times and won some more awards, worked with other musicians and got involved in other projects, so it was nice to have the comparison. There are also some great pictures and little stories that I'd never heard of before such as giving the old lady a lift home after a mob of his fans had knocked her over. Even so it is so sad that a person as caring as MJ and about to perform again as only he could died too soon. I've never really been a fan of anyone, but MJ's death seems to have really affected me for whatever reason and books like this help to separate the tabloid from the truth. He is one person I would have loved to have met, he always had time for people, was humble and by the snippets I've read in both books he had a good sense of humour, what a waste of a life, lets hope his children grow up to be as good a person as their father.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for ANY MJ fanatic 1 Mar 2004
By Rob
Format:Paperback
This is quite simply the cream of the crop when it comes to all things Michael Jackson. With a full and detailed account of all of Michael's tour dates, album releases and chart positions listed (along with countless other astoundingly accurate information) it could quite rightly be renamed "THE MJ ENCYCLOPEDIA"
The book contains a multitude of amazing photos to accompany what would already be a fact-packed book.
This is a must-buy for any new or life long Michael Jackson fan
A sure fire purchase!
Praise aside, the only minor niggle people may find with the book is it's currentness, having been published in 2001. With this edition approaching 3 years, a new version would be well placed considering the amount of media attention Michael has racked up these past few months...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Diary 3 Nov 2009
Format:Paperback
I can describe this book as a diary for Michael Jackson, from the day he was born, to the day he died, (and even after, to his memorial) giving us all the details about important events he had on a specific day. The writer of this book must've been a Michael Jackson expert, and he was, Adrian Grant knew Michael personally, and is the creator, and producer of 'Thriller Live'. A book written by a fan for the fans! Contains alot of rare colour pictures, scans of magazines, tickets, ..., memorabilia, ... .
This book reads like the guinness book of world records, you won't read everything, but you'll look at the pictures, and read what seems interesting.

As for the quality of the book, I can say it's not luxurious or anything, it's paperback... . But it seems like a heavy book, and is the size of an A4, has great quality colour pics, on glossy pages. cover is thick and very glossy.

Final point:

Buy this book if you're a michael jackson fan, and want a detailed description of his life, day by day. This is the best you'll ever find that covers the important events, if you want to know more about michael's general life, not only in music, or celebrity life, read J. Randy Taraborrelli's Michael Jackson: The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story. But for the pictures I recommend this.
