I live in a cabin (http://www.thebluecabin.com) on an otherwise uninhabited island in Strangford Lough with my wife Lynn, who is a professional artist (http://www.lynnmcgregor.co.uk).

I am a full-time carer and the rest of my time, I write. I have had books and articles about island life published and am currently working on a novel.

The cabin has boat-only access, no mains electricity, an eccentric water supply, a woodburner and no insulation - so island living has been something of a learning curve..
