Of all the instructional fly-fishing videos I have seen, this is by far the best one. Michael Evans covers all the basic techniques and presents a simple approach to fly casting. He doesn't complicate matters by discussing beautiful scenery or different species of fish. This DVD covers casting and nothing else - and that's exactly what you need to focus on as a beginner in the sport (or art?) of fly fishing. What makes this video stand out is how clearly Michael explains and demonstrates common mistakes and how to correct them.

This DVD is a no nonsense, simply demonstrated and explained lesson in basic fly casting techniques. Can't wait to see the next one on how to catch a trout!

I have been an occasional fly fisherman for many years but found this DVD very helpful in getting back to basics. A few friends have asked me to take them with me for a first try at fly fishing. I cannot think of anything that would be better than this DVD for them to look at before the first outing. Simple and effective - what more could we want!

Good dvd
It's better than Hywell Morgan's dvd but still you have to buy part 1-2-3 ...to learn the other casts so ...

1 of 3 in a set and no where on ad does it tell you
total load of rubbish , you buy a dvd on casting then get told is it a 1 of 3 set no use unless you then buy the others
