One of Christian music's most intriguing acts, Delirious clearly transcend the feel-good, praise-and-worship motif of King of Fools and Cutting Edge with Mezzamorphis. While the catchy choruses are still there, Delirious now rocks with the edginess of buzz-saw guitars and outer-space-sounding programming. Two years in the making, Mezzamorphis, unlike the band's first two releases, sounds like a true studio album. The first two tracks, "The Mezzanine Floor" and "Heaven", are fine examples of the meticulous work done by the band; smooth choruses set dissonant tones against the hard-rock beginnings for each song. And of course, the magical "Beautiful Sun", with singer Martin Smith doing his best Bono-like falsetto, shows the band can still write wonderful ballads. "Love Falls Down" is another treat with its Mersey-beat melodies. Delirious fans will enjoy the new direction, while others should take note with this fascinating offering. This CD is definitely the best and most listened to in my collection. Very similar to Bush with hints of U2, Radiohead, and the manics, but with lyrics none of these compare to. This is a highly addictive album that brings the Christian faith into the very real world of rock and roll, and has the potential to speak loud and clear to the masses. IF ONLY THE RADIO STATIONS WOULD GIVE THEM A CHANCE!!!!!!! Look out for the new single IT'S OK.. p.s. If you get the chance to see them live then do. Even if you're not familiar with their sounds. It is more that a gig - it is a truly emphatic performance.

Rock on British indie.,

I am a Xian, but I really don't think it matter when it comes to a recording as perfect as this one. It plays what you want when you want, and it completely fills you with that feeling that only true music can give you.From the spacey strumming of Mezzanine Floor to the cheery indie of Gravity and finally the emotive vocals on Blindfold (poss. one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard), Delirious have really made it here. Best listened to: several times on lonely 7h train to Edinburgh. :)

Good, and I'm not Christian,

I'm not a Christian and won't be converted by this, I'll just get that straight. I saw this lot support Bon Jovi and thought they were pretty rockin'. After hearing this album a few times I can say that it's pretty good and couldn't tell that it was a Christian album except for a few lyrical references. The album loses a bit of steam towards the end, but I can still say it's enjoyable, and even better on stage!
