The new, combination handles are riveted for durability, engineered for balance and feature 'soft touch' inserts for added comfort and safety. The unique glass straining lids have deep walls with straining holes on opposite sides, by simply lining these up with the pouring lips, the tricky task of straining hot food can be achieved quickly and easily in one safe operation. During cooking, the holes allow for excess steam to be released, minimising the risk of boil-overs, when turned away from the pouring lip, the level of steam escaping is reduced. The Stockpot also has the facility of a lockable lid, allowing optimum safety when draining or pouring large quantities of liquids. Select Stainless Steel has a fully encapsulated, friction bonded base with an aluminium core and stainless steel protector, which ensures even heat distribution and eliminates 'hot spots.
