The unique glass straining lids have deep walls with straining holes on opposite sides, by simply lining these up with the pouring lips, the tricky task of straining hot food can be achieved quickly and easily in one safe operation. During cooking, the holes allow for excess steam to be released, minimising the risk of boil-overs, when turned away from the pouring lip, the level of steam escaping is reduced. Select Stainless Steel has a fully encapsulated, friction bonded base with an aluminium core and stainless steel protector, which ensures even heat distribution and eliminates 'hot spots.

Size Name:20cm saucepan
A large, tall pan which is useful for cooking the occasional stew or boiled chicken portions (with all the trimmings). Good quality and sensibly priced.

Great pans that do all they promise. Watch out for the lid handles though. The "soft-touch" insert is only on the underside of the handle and the rest of the handle, being metal, gets very hot. I queried this with the manufacturer and they responded by pointing out that, in the instructions, they recommend using an oven glove when removing the lid.
