Firstly, the Amazon Spec says: "Unique glass straining lid for ease and safety"
No lid was supplied with mine (?).
Now, what an odd skillet/frying pan this is.
Stucturally it is superb. Strong, tough, with a good handle and visually very good.
Oh but the quality of the non-stick coating is appauling.
I'm on my second one after 3 years of irregular use and the non-stick is now blistering and peeling. I feel its not hygenic to use now.
It has never been abused and only wood and plastic utensils have been used in it. Cleaning Method: Fairy Liquid + J-cloth 90% of times and now-and-then into Dishwasher on 'delicate' setting, or sometimes just a wipe. I even tried rubbing with oil after use to help the not-so-non-stick surface.
In comparison my old Tefal (made in France not China so obviously quite old) is still fine after 15 years. And the old French-made Tefal non-stick coating was superior to the brand new Meyer.
If you just want to admire your shiny skillet then it's ideal, but if you actually want to use it then I cannot recommend it unless after a couple of years you want flakes of Teflon in your fried eggs. Sorry Meyer.
