    For twenty quid this is a good toaster! There is a satisfying click as you depress the carriage lever into position and my wife, whose mechanical appreciation is normally limited to using a spoon to stir tea, remarked on how smooth the action was! The two outer elements are brighter than the inner ones which probably accounts for its ability to brown bread pretty evenly on both sides. It is a bit slower and a bit more gentle than I am used to but this gives a bit more latitude when setting the toasting time. It makes very good good toast!

    Like other buyers, this toaster stopped working just after the warranty ran out. The inner elements stop working. For the money, it is a good toaster but be prepeared to replace it after a year!

    When I opened the box I thought 'good looking toaster, very stylish'. However, it fails to toast the top of the bread because it sticks out. You need to use small bread, BUT, if the item you are toasting is too small, e.g small pancakes or breakfast muffins, it is very difficult to remove them without touching the hot part of the toaster - even if you use the 'lift' feature - it doesn't 'lift' high enough. Overall disappointed with product.
