Product Description

Anolon SureGripTM Bakeware is designed to make baking more efficient, safer and easier, while standing up to the rigors of serious baking. Our Bakeware is constructed of carbon steel, which conducts heat better than stainless steel making it better to use for all baking tasks. The handles are covered in silicone, which is oven safe up to 240oC/475oF Gas Mark 9 and is non-slip providing the cook with a secure grip, even when using oven gloves. For added convenience the bakeware has a dual layer non-stick coating inside and outside for easy food release and cleaning.

I purchased this item mid Summer 2008 from Beatties specifically for the anticipated, large-ish Chrismas turkey. The roaster was removed from the box, washed lightly and rinsed, the turkey sat on the rack perfectly. The oven, (a two year old standard size Bosch oven), had reached the required pre-heat temperature, I dropped the oven door and tried to fit the pan into the oven. IT WOULD NOT FIT!!! The roaster pan was too big to fit the oven, I've since tried to squeeze it into a Smeg oven, again a standard single, it doesn't fit that oven either. The only way it will fit the two ovens is by removing the side oven rack supports, that means it would sit on the bottom of the oven, which is not recommended by oven manufacturers, (it has the potencial of burning out the lower oven element).
I've emailed Anolon who have stated they've received compliments on this item, but then they would. Seems odd that Meyer now manufacture a slightly smaller pan? Meyer Anolon SureGrip Non-stick Roaster & Rack, 16 Inch

Exact same experience as the other reviewer, and same occasion - Christmas dinner. Only difference - my victim was a goose. Disaster. Looks are deceptive, as the roasting-pan area is not huge; the problem lies in the extended sides and handle pads. An expensive mistake.
