Toss and turned between a Pentax flash, the Metz and my budget.
Finally choose this , I would give it 5 stars but I have not used it enough yet.
It does everything that the K200D can throw at it and so far got great pictures, incidentally I had a query (not a problem)and the Metz guys were great

I had been looking at the Metz36 flashgun for a few months while waiting until I had bought a few lenses (priority) for my SamsungGX20 before purchasing a flashgun.
When the time was right to purchase I was trying to convince myself that I could afford the Metz48 which is more than double the cost of the Metz36. I am glad that I convinced myself. Two minutes after getting the flash out of the box I was taking shots of anything at all around the house and getting great results.
I was pleasantly pleased with how easy it was to use and there is plenty of scope for those of us who want to get creative with flash. The unit can be updated for firmware by connecting to computer (USB) and downloading (when firmware is available) so it's somewhat future proof. The Metz48 is definately a good choice and while there are more expensive and powerful flashguns out there I think that this flash is more than adequate for most flash photography. Recommended.Treat yourself!
