If you liked 2013's genre-defining debut 'Sing to the Moon', you will love this. Every track has been re-worked to give a little bit of extra magic and the Metropole Orkest rise to the challenge wonderfully. Tracks that have particularly enjoyed the orchestral makeover are 'Make Me Lovely' and 'Green Garden'. Listen to the original record first followed by this - you won't be disappointed, and will fall in love with the songs all over again.

I went to see Laura, Jules Buckley and the Orchestra last night at the Albert Hall. Extraordinary musicianship and soul. These are beautiful , intelligently uplifting songs for troubled times and the accompaniment is rich ,soulful and impeccably played. About 250 out of 5.

I did buy the CD of this a few weeks ago and it simply blew me away as her debut album 'Sing to The Moon' was a great piece of work and it deserved the success it had. It was good but this album with the addition of the Metropole Orkestra has taken this album to another level it is simply stunning. The horns and strings give it a softness, which was lacking on 'Sing To The Moon' and also Ms Mvula's phrasing has a more familiar feel to it. This is a complete re-recording of her debut album performed at Abbey Road Studios, which is a place we should all know about.

This album is complete for me and I am struggling to pick a favourite track but if I had to pick one then it has to be 'Father Father'.

I must make mention of the Vinyl album's artwork, which is beautiful as I love the cover and back photos. It really is well designed and put together.

I look forward to her other future projects and i hope that there's a Jazz album from Ms Mvula in that future.

This is sheer brilliance. Laura has taken her classic album and re-worked it. The album is spine tingling. I purchased the vinyl record and I am currently listening to the free auto-rip. I cannot wait to hear it the way music was intended to be listened to and that's by putting a needle on the record.

There have been some classic solo albums this year so far from Sophie Ellis-Bextor with Wanderlust, Paloma Faith with A Perfect Combination, and Imelda May with Tribal. Although the material on this album isn't new, the re-working of it is sheer genius.

This is a fantastic album, I really liked the original but they have made it even better with this version. The arrangement of the orchestra and vocals by Laura Mvula are just beautiful. Father father is one of the stand out songs along with Green garden and sing to the moon but they are all good and this is one of those rare albums that you can play all the way through and not need to skip a song.

I would highly recommend it

Sprinkle some serious strings on what are already 12 great tracks and you got your self some great reworkings of Laura Mvula classics. The orchestration takes nothing from the omnipresent beauty of these songs. Recommended.
