5.0 out of 5 stars Solid little product 3 July 2012
As it says above, the price is 1.99 a month, with no other costs involved. For that you get a virtually complete paper every weekday. If you like the Metro, you'll like this product, and the fact it's in a handy size is ideal for commuters who find trying to read a full-size newspaper on crowded public transport a total chore.

3.0 out of 5 stars Print vs Digital 2 Jan 2014
The print 'Metro' version is available FREE (obviously subject to availability) in many UK Urban areas and the website viewable free to view.
Charging 99p a day or 1.99 a month is suspect for what should be a more ecologically friendly version (digital instead of tree pulp) should be encouraged along with not the costs needed to transport and the printing of the paper in so many physical form you think they would provide an incentive to buy digital even if the print version is free.

The cost of this item should be price matched to be 0.00 but could allow an 'Donate' option for someone if they wanted could contribute.

4.0 out of 5 stars Actually quite good 18 Sep 2012
Thought I'd give the 14 day free trial a go and 2 days in I'm pleasantly surprised. It's well laid out and easy to navigate, with a few pictures thrown in for good measure if that's your thing. I've found it ideal for reading at work or over my morning coffee(I'm not sure when the new editions get transmitted but I was updated before 7am this morning). There's an option to save the current issue and you can also download your previous issues from the Manage Your Kindle page if there's something you want to read again. In all, cracking value for what works out at around 10p per day.

Will I continue the subscription when the free trial expires? - Yes
