Five dazzling and exciting plays from five wonderfully talented playwrights. Favourites from this collection were Under The Blue Sky by David Eldridge and Motortown by Simon Stephens.

This is a very mixed bag. Even 'Enron'; which had commercial and critical success; leaves me a little cold on the page. There is doubtless some skill on show within these pages; but many of the plays seem to pander to the theatre-going crowd...and surely theatre should be about entertainment for the masses? Look at Shakespeare.

So, for it's collected, rather elitist tone; I'm afraid I can only award it 2.5 stars. Didn't give me as much enjoyment as I was hoping for.
