My partner and I saw one of these being used in a cookery demonstration and having had the opportunity to taste the parfait produced using it I searched for one on-line.
This unit is of better quality than many available and has the advantage of interchangeable blades for different degrees of coarseness.

This is a wonderful appliance. I would recommend to anyone who hasn't tried it. It's what my mother used to use in the kitchen and gives far better results than a food processor if you want really smooth apple or potatoe puree! Fantastic.

I wanted a food mill for making tomato sauce. I have now managed to work out that chopped pre-cooked tomatoes work best in this machine and I'm satisfied with the result. However, although the box clearly shows how to put it together (which is easy) there are no instructions at all about how to use it. There are pictures which show the machine next to a potato, and some tomatoes (both uncooked), but that's it - so a lot of trial and error needed which is a shame as it does the job. It's also easy to take apart and clean.
