Firstly, the item arrived in very loose plastic packaging. It looked as if someone had opened the packaging before. I also thought that this capo would have a very smooth brushed metallic finish, but on closer inspection, I noticed that it had lots of scratches on it, making it look like as if I had bought this item second hand from someone who has been using this thing for years.
Then for the first month, the capo did a very mildly satisfactory job of holding down all six strings. Now a month later, and after being constantly used, the rubber that touches the strings has worn out, and so it can never hold both the E strings properly on either side of the guitar at any one time. So everytime I want to use this stupid thing, either the high E string or low E string will sound really clunky because the capo can't hold it down properly.
I read the reviews before purchasing this and it had a 4 star average rating, which is way too high for this rubbish. One star is lucky enough. Look around for another capo for slightly more money and don't waste a good fiver like I did.
