The bands come in a nice gift box - black with a signature - that could easily be used as a gift box, either for the bands or something small.
With the gun metal finish the bands still have a shiny appearance, but not silver, it's a more restrained steel look which I much prefer.
The first tme you wear these they'll probably be very tight, but they soon loosen off and become easy to wear.
As for their effectiveness, first class - they do exactly what you'd expect and hold your cuffs away from your hands.
