If you have ever seen the strategy guide of the original metal gear solid game then you'll know what to expect when you buy this one.
As before there is a detailed ally and enemy character section with background stories which really bring in the idea of the great story line that is Metal Gear Solid 2.
There are high quality screenshots to illustrate tactics needed for the game.
Locations of weapons and traps are included as well as the safest routes for all levels.
Strategies for taking on bosses are revealed as well as all of the tips and secrets.
The previous stories of Metal Gear are explained.
As usual real concept art from the designing process are used.
There are 2D and 3D maps to show where to go what to get and what to avoid.

...I'd seen reviews of the game saying the game was too short but I still thought there might be good stuff to learn in the guide. I was right. Rather than steaming through the game I have taken my time and have been rewarded by still being hooked collecting all the dog tags and learning all the secrets that MGS2 has under the surface. For those of you that think mGS2 is too short think again. Buy the guide and enjoy all the experiences that Hideo Kojima wanted us to discover in the game.Thanks to Piggyback for making a brilliant guide...

When I picked it up and felt how heavy it was I said "could be interesting, go on then, why not". This is the most complete analysis of a video game I have ever seen. It adds dimensions to MGS2 that I didnt even dream existed. It brings you through at whatever level you want so you learn and master at your own pace. There are literally hundreds of secrets and tricks. Dont know how long it took them to put this together, but it beats anything I have ever seen.

Impressive, but for collectors only?
As another reviewer stated, there is basically no point getting a guide like this for such a simple game. Beaten in 4 hours on Hard, it's not worth it. Read more

Cute but not worth it

If you Want it, then Buy it!!!!!
This book is 99% Excellent! It covers everything one needs to know about the game. It shows very super quality map designs, dog tag lists and all the character descriptions. Read more
